Samsung tests One UI 9 on lower‑end Galaxy A smartphones
Samsung has begun internal testing of its upcoming One UI 9 interface on several budget‑segment Galaxy devices. Firmware versions for One UI 9.0 were detected on the Galaxy A07, A16 and A17, showing the company is adapting the software for entry‑level phones even though the public beta remains limited to the flagship Galaxy S26 series.
The test program also covers more than twenty other models across the Galaxy lineup, including the S25‑S24 series, the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 foldables, and a range of Galaxy Tab tablets. Samsung is using the internal trials to iron out bugs before a stable release, which is expected to be announced at the next Galaxy Unpacked event slated for next month. The stable version may be rolled out directly to the A‑series devices without a public beta phase, while higher‑end phones will likely follow the usual rollout schedule.
