Samsung Thermal Guardian App and TÜV Advice Offer New Smartphone Battery Management Guidance

Samsung provides a hidden suite called Good Guardians in the Galaxy Store, which includes the Thermal Guardian app. The tool lets users monitor device temperature, see which apps cause heat, and automatically lower CPU performance or screen brightness when temperatures rise, helping to prevent overheating and extend battery life.

The German testing organization TÜV SÜD advises users to keep smartphone batteries between 30 % and 70 % charge, avoid full discharge, and not charge at extreme temperatures. It also recommends unplugging chargers after the battery is full and using quality charging accessories. Together, these tips aim to improve battery longevity and maintain device performance.
