Samsung to Boost Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Battery by 35% with New Snapdragon Chip

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, expected in 2026, with a substantially larger battery of around 800 mAh—a 35% increase over the current 590 mAh unit. The upgrade is paired with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite processor, which promises improved power efficiency and a low‑power NPU, aiming to extend multi‑day use even with GPS, fitness tracking, and an always‑on display.

Leaks also indicate that the regular Galaxy Watch 9 series will receive battery capacity bumps, with the 40 mm model moving to roughly 382 mAh (about a 23% rise) and the 44 mm model to about 435 mAh, both supporting 10 W wireless charging. Samsung has not officially confirmed these specifications.
