Samsung to unveil Galaxy Tab S12 tablets in September and preview Galaxy M47 phone

Samsung is set to announce the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra in September, likely at the IFA 2026 show in Berlin. Both tablets are expected to use MediaTek’s 3 nm Dimensity 9500 processor, feature OLED displays up to 120 Hz, run Android 17 with One UI 9, and retain the S Pen, IP68 rating and Wi‑Fi 7. The S12+ will have a 12.4‑inch screen while the Ultra will sport a 14.6‑inch panel; battery capacities are projected at around 10.5 Ah for the Plus and 11.6 Ah for the Ultra, with 45 W charging.

Separately, Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy M47 mid‑range smartphone is reported to combine a 6.7‑inch Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 4 nm chipset, 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB storage, and a large 6000 mAh battery supporting 45 W fast charging. The device will run Android 16 with One UI 8, include a 50 MP primary camera with OIS, and carry IP64 dust‑ and splash‑resistance. Both announcements illustrate Samsung’s strategy to refresh its high‑end tablet line while expanding its mid‑range phone portfolio for 2026.
