Samsung unveils Galaxy Watch 9 and Ultra 2 with AI health features at July 2026 Unpacked

Samsung announced its next-generation smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 9 and the premium Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for 22 July 2026. Leaked specifications show both models will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear Elite (SW6100) processor, replacing Samsung’s Exynos chips, and will run One UI 9 Watch on Google’s Wear OS 7. The Watch 9 is expected in 40 mm (438 × 438 px) and 44 mm (480 × 480 px) sizes with 445 mAh batteries, while the Ultra 2 will house an 800 mAh battery for longer endurance. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, dual‑band Wi‑Fi and LTE versions. Samsung highlighted deep AI integration: a redesigned Samsung Health app and Gemini‑based health coaching that can analyze sleep apnea, stress, calorie intake and other metrics in real time.

Pricing leaks suggest the 40 mm Watch 9 will start around € 409, the larger 44 mm at € 439, and the Ultra 2 at roughly € 749. The watches will debut alongside new Galaxy Fold and Flip foldable phones, with live streams from the main Unpacked venue and parallel showcases in London and a public event in Bratislava, Slovakia.
