Samsung TV Plus adds free sports and entertainment channels for UK Smart TV users

Samsung TV Plus, the free streaming service built into Samsung smart TVs and many Galaxy devices, is rolling out a suite of new channels to millions of UK owners. The upgrade adds more than half a dozen channels, including Wrestling Legends TV with WWE content, Eurovision Sport covering Olympic events, a dedicated Bundesliga channel, Racing TV Play for horse‑racing highlights, and Korean drama series K. Users simply need to log into their Samsung account to access the channels; no subscription or credit‑card details are required, though a valid TV licence is still required for live broadcasts.

The service, pre‑installed on all Samsung smart TVs produced from 2016 onward, has surpassed 100 million active monthly users worldwide as of early 2026, with streaming hours up 25 % year‑on‑year. The new UK channels are delivered via internet‑only streams, meaning no aerial is needed. Samsung’s recent product line also includes new smart‑TV models that double as art frames when idle.
