Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 foldables FAST-MOVING

Samsung announced three new foldable smartphones for 2026 – the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8. All models run the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor and integrate Galaxy AI with Google’s Gemini Intelligence for AI‑driven features such as the FlexWindow on the Flip8.

The devices use a new Flex Titanium display structure that reduces the visibility of the central crease and improves durability. The Fold8 weighs 201 g, has a 4.8 Ah battery and starts at €1,999 ($1,899); the Fold8 Ultra adds a 5.0 Ah battery, a 200 MP main camera, weighs 215 g and costs €2,199 ($2,099); the Flip8 is the lightest at 180 g, carries a 3.3 Ah battery, a 50 MP main camera and is priced from €1,299 ($1,199). Pre‑orders are live in several European and Asian markets.

Samsung noted that the use of AI‑optimized components raises production costs, contributing to the higher price levels. The launch is positioned as a response to a pending Apple foldable device and aims to keep Samsung’s lead in the premium foldable segment.
