Samsung unveils Galaxy A27 in Brazil and cuts Galaxy S26 prices in Portugal

Samsung introduced the Galaxy A27 to the Brazilian market as the successor to the Galaxy A26. The new model uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, offers 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, retains the 6.7‑inch 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, but its water‑resistance rating drops from IP67 to IP64. Camera changes include a reduction in the ultrawide lens from 8 MP to 5 MP and the selfie sensor from 13 MP to 12 MP, while the main 50 MP sensor remains unchanged.

Separately, Samsung’s Galaxy S26 and S26+ models are being offered at reduced prices in Portugal, ranging from €590 to €700, making them significantly cheaper than the S26 Ultra, which still retails near €900. The price cuts are highlighted as a response to rising costs of higher‑end smartphones and are positioned as attractive options for buyers seeking flagship performance at a lower cost.
