Samsung readies Galaxy Watch 9, Ultra 2 and new Galaxy Able earbud

Samsung’s upcoming wearable lineup is being detailed through a series of leaks and app updates. The Galaxy Wearable app now lists three unreleased devices – the Galaxy Able earbud, the Galaxy Watch 9 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 – signaling a coordinated launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 smartphones.

A massive leak of the One UI 9 Watch software reveals five default watch faces that will debut with the new watches: Analog Balance (minimalist default for the Watch 9), Dual Digit (large numbers with a vertical progress bar), Radial Dashboard (data‑rich ring display), Dual Clock Info Board (dual‑time‑zone view for travelers) and Ultra Performance (premium layout for the Ultra 2 with a low‑light red mode). The update also introduces the Gemini voice assistant activation by wrist‑raise, new health metrics such as Daily Cardio Load, an automatic dive mode for the Ultra 2, and deeper AI integration using on‑device 3‑nm processors. Samsung’s digital‑health team confirmed development of a second‑generation Galaxy Ring, hinting at possible iPhone compatibility and AI‑driven health coaching for 2027.

These disclosures suggest Samsung is positioning its wearables to compete more directly with Apple and Garmin by expanding software features, AI capabilities and ecosystem integration ahead of the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for 22 July.
