Samsung unveils Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 at London Unpacked event

Samsung Electronics hosted its Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July 2026 at Old Billingsgate in London, unveiling three new foldable smartphones – the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 – alongside its first AI‑driven Intelligent Eyewear.

All three devices are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor. The Fold8 Ultra features a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra‑wide sensor and 8K video capture, paired with a 5 000 mAh battery and a Flex Titanium chassis that makes the phone only 4.1 mm thick when opened. The Fold8 uses a 4 800 mAh battery and the same titanium construction, while the Flip8 carries a 4 300 mAh battery and a thin, compact form factor. US pricing announced are $2 099 for the Ultra, $1 899 for the Fold8 and $1 199 for the Flip8.

The launch also introduced Intelligent Eyewear, audio‑only smart glasses running Android XR and integrating Google’s Gemini AI for hands‑free translation and summarisation. Samsung noted that the new models do not include an S Pen or the Privacy Display feature, but the company promised to address these omissions in future generations. The rollout is positioned to reinforce Samsung’s leadership in the rapidly evolving foldable market, where competitors such as Apple are expected to introduce their own flexible devices.
