Samsung Galaxy A27 5G launches with larger display, AI features and extended software support

Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy A27 5G as the successor to the Galaxy A26 5G. The mid‑range phone features a 6.7‑inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a slim 7.8 mm body. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. The camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 5 MP ultra‑wide lens, a 2 MP macro sensor and a 12 MP selfie camera. Samsung’s “Awesome Intelligence” AI suite adds tools such as Circle‑to‑Search, Object Eraser and voice‑transcription in 22 languages, and supports AI assistants including Google Gemini, Perplexity and Bixby. The device houses a 5 000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, and runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5. Samsung promises up to six generations of Android OS updates and six years of security patches, backed by Knox and Knox Vault protection. Pricing starts around €340 (≈$320) in Europe, with Indian market leaks showing prices of ₹31,999‑40,499 for different RAM/storage variants. The phone became available in several markets in late June 2026, including Lithuania, France, Slovakia, Thailand, China and Bangladesh, with a launch in Spain scheduled for early July.
