Samsung unveils next‑gen Galaxy S27 Ultra and Z Fold 8 Wide with upgraded battery and design

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 Ultra is reported to include a 5,500 mAh silicon‑carbon battery, boosting capacity about 10 % without adding weight. The phone would support 65 W wired charging and 25 W wireless charging via Qi2, feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 2 nm processor, up to 16 GB RAM, 512 GB storage, a 6.9‑inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with up to 120 Hz refresh, a 200‑megapixel main camera using new ISOCELL and LOFIC technology, and a redesigned horizontal rear bar for magnetic accessories.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide is said to adopt a larger 7.8‑inch internal screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 5.4‑inch outer display, aiming for a more tablet‑like experience. Its weight is projected at 201 g, down from the previous 215 g, and it would house a 4,800 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging. Camera specs include a 50‑megapixel primary sensor and native 24‑megapixel mode. Samsung also reportedly refined the hinge and reduced the visible crease for smoother folding.
