Samsung unveils teaser for Galaxy Z Fold8 with wider design
Samsung released a series of six cryptic teaser videos that reveal its next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold8. The clips emphasize a "new shape" and a "bold stroke," indicating a noticeably wider aspect ratio compared to previous models. The company plans to formally present the device on 22 July at its major summer launch event, and the teasers also hint at related models such as the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultras and the Galaxy Z Flip8.
In parallel, Samsung disclosed a substantial hardware shift for its upcoming budget phone, the Galaxy A18. The lower‑cost 4G version will be powered by a MediaTek processor, while the 5G variant is set to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon chip—marking the first time a Snapdragon is used in this price segment. This change aims to address rising component costs and could improve performance and pricing. Production of the A18 4G is slated to start in August, with larger volumes expected by October, while the Snapdragon‑based 5G model will launch later in the year.
