Samsung launches Galaxy S26 Ultra with privacy display and advanced AI features

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 Ultra at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, pricing the 256 GB model at 36.99 million VND in Vietnam and the 1 TB version at 51.99 million VND. The flagship is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 200 MP main camera, and a 6.9‑inch AMOLED panel that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate.

A key innovation is the Privacy Display, the first active anti‑eyepiece technology on a smartphone. It dynamically controls the direction of light from each pixel, keeping the screen clear for the user while appearing dim or blurred to side‑viewers. The feature is exclusive to the Ultra model due to dedicated hardware.

Laboratory tests reported in Arabic media highlighted the S26 Ultra’s colour accuracy, with Delta E values approaching zero, making the display virtually indistinguishable from real‑world colours. An anti‑reflective coating further reduces glare, and AI‑driven image processing automatically adjusts colour temperature and contrast based on ambient lighting.

Japanese reviewers praised the device’s overall performance, noting smooth handling of demanding games, solid battery life with 60 W fast charging, and useful AI tools such as Now Nudge and Now Brief that suggest actions and summarise daily schedules. The privacy display was confirmed to work as advertised, providing practical eye‑privacy in public settings.
