Samsung updates Galaxy Z series with classical music and One UI 9
Samsung is implementing significant changes to its device ecosystem with the introduction of One UI 9. For the Galaxy Z series, including the Fold8 Ultra, Fold8, and Galaxy Flip8, the company is replacing traditional synthetic notification sounds with classical music. The new default ringtone and alarm will feature Chopin’s ‘Nocturne Es-dur op. 9 nr 2’, a choice that references the ‘Opus 9’ designation of the system software.
To ensure high audio quality, Samsung utilized professional recording sessions at its Galaxy Sound Studios in Seoul, featuring pianist Yekwon Sunwoo. The project was developed in collaboration with Sound Mirror Korea to move away from digital synthesizers toward a more sophisticated sonic identity.
In the consumer market, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is seeing notable price shifts. In Poland, the 12/256 GB model has seen a price reduction at Media Expert, retailing for approximately 4,317 PLN, compared to its February 2026 launch price of 6,499 PLN. This specific offer involves European versions of the device, which include Polish menus and local warranty support. The hardware features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a 200 MP camera system, and a 6.9-inch display.
