Samsung Wallet Money and Points reaches 3 million users

Samsung Electronics announced that its rechargeable easy payment service, ‘Samsung Wallet Money and Points,’ has surpassed 3 million subscribers within one year of its launch. The service, which allows users to accumulate points through payments and use them like cash for future transactions, saw rapid growth, reaching 1 million users just two months after its October launch.

Samsung attributes this growth to the absence of monthly performance requirements or accumulation limits, as well as the ability to use the service at all domestic merchants. To mark its first anniversary, the company is introducing a new point tier system consisting of four levels: Solar, Lunar, Sky, and Young. The ‘Young’ tier, targeting users aged 14 to 29, offers an additional 3% point accumulation on payments.

Other updates include the introduction of overseas payment support and the addition of 14 mini-games within the app’s benefits tab to allow users to earn points through gameplay. Samsung is also launching anniversary events, including instant point rewards for first-time users and additional point accumulation for international payments.
