Samsung to add native stablecoin support to Samsung Wallet by 2026

At the Galaxy Unpacked event in London on 22 July, Samsung Electronics announced that its Samsung Wallet app will natively support stablecoins as part of its 2026 roadmap. The company displayed a mock‑up featuring USDC, but did not confirm any partnership with Circle or name the specific tokens, blockchains or custodial model that will be used. Samsung said the new function will sit alongside payment cards, digital keys and boarding passes, allowing users to hold, transfer and pay with dollar‑pegged assets on their smartphones.

The rollout details—including launch dates, eligible regions and supported devices—were left unspecified. Samsung noted that regulatory frameworks such as the U.S. GENIUS Act and the EU MiCA legislation could influence availability. By integrating stablecoins into a wallet that could reach billions of Galaxy devices, Samsung aims to become one of the first major mobile brands to embed digital dollars directly into everyday payment flows.
