Samsung Wallet to launch USDC stablecoin transfers for US Galaxy users

Samsung Electronics America has announced that Samsung Wallet will integrate USDC stablecoin transfers, starting in the last week of October. The feature will initially be available to approximately 82 million eligible Galaxy device users in the United States.

Users will be able to send USDC to compatible external crypto wallets or to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries, with recipients receiving funds in their local currency. Samsung stated it will not charge fees for transfers to compatible external wallets, although recipient parties may apply their own charges. For bank transfers, fees will apply based on the destination and amount.

The service is designed to simplify blockchain interactions by removing the need for users to download separate crypto applications or manage their own private keys. The infrastructure will be supported by the Solana and Sui blockchain networks. To ensure security and regulatory compliance, Bastion will provide the regulated infrastructure, while Coinbase Prime Vault will act as the sub-custodian for USDC assets.
