Samsunspor defeats AEK Athens 2-1 in Netherlands pre‑season friendly

Turkish club Samsunspor secured a 2-1 victory over Greek side AEK Athens in a pre‑season match held in the Netherlands. The game, part of Samsunspor's Dutch training camp, saw AEK take the lead in the 14th minute through Niclas Eliasson. Samsunspor equalised before halftime when Elayis Tavşan headed in a pass from Elliot Watt. In the second half, Saikouba Jarju, who entered the match later, scored the winning goal in the 80th minute, and the team held on for the win.

The match was overseen by Samsunspor head coach Thorsten Fink, who used the fixture to test squad options ahead of the new season. It was broadcast live on the club’s official YouTube channel and played behind closed doors following security decisions by Dutch authorities.
