Samsunspor dismisses manager Thorsten Fink

Samsunspor has dismissed German manager Thorsten Fink following a string of poor results in the Turkish Süper Lig. The decision follows a five-match losing streak, which included a 3-0 home defeat against Trabzonspor.

During the current season, the club has secured only four points from its first seven matches, recording one win, one draw, and five losses. The club management expressed gratitude to the 58-year-old Fink for his professionalism and his role in leading the team to the UEFA Conference League round of 16 last season.

Fink, a former Bayern Munich player, had been in charge since February 2026. His departure follows a period where Samsunspor had increasingly relied on German coaching staff. The club is now searching for a new manager to stabilize the team before its upcoming fixture against Kasımpaşa.
