Samuel Eto’o meets dual-national prospects in England

Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), has undertaken efforts in England to engage with the families of high-potential dual-national players. This strategy aims to integrate diaspora talent into the national team project at an early stage rather than waiting for players to achieve stardom in Europe.

During his recent meetings, Eto’o spoke with the families of several young prospects currently in major English academies. These include the twins Bassirou and Douka Nkoto of Manchester United, William Gueke of Manchester City, and Tomak Jaxon David, who is associated with Nottingham Forest.

Some of these players are already being monitored by Cameroon; for instance, William Gueke was previously included in the Cameroon U23 squad at age 15. The initiative reflects FECAFOOT’s proactive approach to competing for talent within the global football landscape.
