Samuel Eto’o tours Cameroon with Lionnes Indomptables trophy

Samuel Eto’o has begun a tour to present the Lionnes Indomptables trophy at various private residences and diplomatic offices in Cameroon. The tour includes visits to the Spanish Ambassador and several high-ranking officials, including Roger Milla and members of parliament.

During these visits, various figures have promised financial contributions of up to 50 million FCFA each. However, there is currently no official mechanism established by Fecafoot for the collection, management, or redistribution of these funds. This lack of transparency comes as the Lionnes Indomptables players are still awaiting 50 million FCFA in promised bonuses from the government, CAF, and FIFA.

The trophy tour follows a refusal by the Ministry of Sports to host Eto’o, with officials stating that the official presentation of the trophy falls under the prerogatives of the President of the Republic.
