Samuel Johansson wins Aquabike World Championship in Olbia

Swedish rider Samuel Johansson has secured the Aquabike World Championship title following the season finale at the Sardinia Grand Prix in Olbia, Italy. Johansson finished the season with 125 points, narrowly defeating Gyorgy Kasza (123 points) and Francois Medori (121 points). The championship outcome was influenced by penalties handed to Kasza and Medori in the Moto 3 category for cutting the course.

Other notable championship results include Quinten Bossche winning all season races in the Ski GP1 category, Jessica Chavanne claiming the women's title, and Rashid Al Mulla securing his seventh world title in Freestyle.

In addition to the racing, the event served as a diplomatic platform for the Italian Motonautics Federation. Representatives from San Marino, including riders Federico Emanuele Raggini and Edoardo Tonelli, participated in the event as San Marino seeks to join the World Championship circuit, potentially as early as next year.
