Samuel Lino discusses Flamengo resurgence and Estudiantes clash

Flamengo attacker Samuel Lino has addressed his recent resurgence in form and the upcoming high-stakes match against Estudiantes. After a period of criticism from fans following his arrival in mid-2025, Lino has regained his performance levels under coach Leonardo Jardim. He noted that while fans can be impatient during slumps, he remains confident in his long-term value to the club, where he is under contract until 2030.

Lino has recorded significant statistics in 2026, including 14 goals and 13 assists. His recent performances have also drawn attention from figures such as Carlo Ancelotti.

Looking ahead to the clash with Estudiantes, Lino expressed awareness of the intense atmosphere and pressure expected at the UNO Jorge Luis Hirschi Stadium. Drawing on his experience from previous Libertadores encounters, he emphasized the need for total focus to handle the hostile environment and the physical intensity of the Argentine side.
