Samuel Mbangula scores hat-trick for Bologna against Milan

Samuel Mbangula, the Belgian winger, scored a hat-trick to lead Bologna to a 4-2 victory over Milan at San Siro. This performance marks the first time since the three-points-for-a-win era that a player has scored three goals against Milan at San Siro, a feat previously achieved only by Gabriel Batistuta in 1998.

Mbangula, a former Juventus youth product, was recently brought back to Serie A by Bologna following a stint with Werder Bremen. His decisive goals came in the 8th minute and during the second half, securing Bologna’s first win at Milan’s stadium in ten years. The performance has sparked significant discussion regarding his previous transfer from Juventus to Werder Bremen for 10 million euros plus bonuses.
