Samuel Migaľ vows to continue political activity after Prešov regional election loss

Samuel Migaľ, the Minister of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization, has announced that his political journey will continue following his unsuccessful bid for the chairmanship of the Prešov Self-Governing Region.

Migaľ accepted the election results with pride, noting that he received five times more votes than in the previous parliamentary elections. He characterized the outcome as a “great warning” and a “very large raised finger,” pointing to the fact that while incumbent Milan Majerský defended his position, the runner-up was a candidate with an extremist background.

In his campaign, Migaľ focused on addressing regional issues such as high poverty rates, population decline, and a lack of new investment and housing in the Prešov region. He congratulated Milan Majerský on his victory and pledged to continue supporting the region through his ministerial role.
