Samuele Inacio fails to debut for Italy during Nations League match

Borussia Dortmund talent Samuele Inacio failed to make an appearance for the Italian national team during the recent Nations League matches. Despite being called up by manager Roberto Mancini for the fixture against Turkey, the 18-year-old remained on the bench for the duration of Italy's 3-1 victory.

Inacio, who joined Dortmund from Atalanta Bergamo in January 2024, has struggled for consistent playing time at the club level, recording only three minutes of Bundesliga action this season. The lack of competitive minutes has raised questions regarding his development at Dortmund and his future international eligibility. Because he has not yet played a formal match for the senior Italian squad, he remains eligible to represent Brazil in the future.
