Samuele Ricci nears transfer from Milan to Como

AC Milan and Como have reached a preliminary agreement for the transfer of midfielder Samuele Ricci. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to purchase at the end of the next season.

Ricci, who joined Milan from Torino for 30 million euros last summer, struggled to secure a consistent starting role under coach Ruben Amorim. During his single season in Milan, he made 34 appearances, including one goal and four assists, but started only 14 matches.

The move is motivated by Ricci’s desire for more playing time and a central role in Como’s ambitious project. Negotiations are currently focused on final details, including the potential for a conditional obligation to buy based on sporting achievements, such as Como securing safety or qualifying for European competition.

To finalize the transfer, Como must first clear space in their midfield roster, with players like Maxence Caqueret and Luca Mazzitelli potentially departing. While Atalanta has also shown interest in the Italian international, the current agreement between Milan and Como represents a significant shift in the player's career trajectory.
