Samut Prakan delivery driver killed in motorcycle collision
A 50-year-old female delivery driver, identified as Nittaya, died following a motorcycle accident on the Bang Na-Trat road in Samut Prakan province, Thailand. The incident occurred around 4:00 PM on Friday, September 4, at kilometer 10 in the Bang Phli Yai sub-district.
According to witnesses, the victim attempted to steer her motorcycle to avoid an 18-wheel tractor-trailer that was parked on the side of the road, but she was unable to avoid colliding with the rear of the vehicle. Nittaya died at the scene. Her husband, Surachai, stated that she worked as a motorcycle taxi driver and took food delivery jobs to supplement her income.
The truck driver, 45-year-old Supakit Sam-ang Song, reported that he had parked the vehicle on the shoulder to eat for approximately 30 minutes and discovered the accident upon his return. Bang Kaeo police have summoned the driver for questioning and are currently reviewing witness statements and surveillance camera footage as part of their investigation.
