Samyang Group Chairman Kim Yun emphasizes global specialty business and AI

Samyang Group Chairman Kim Yun marked the company's 102nd anniversary by calling for business advancement focused on global markets and specialty products. During his anniversary speech, Kim emphasized that the group's long history does not guarantee future success, urging employees to prioritize stable cash flow and AI-driven digital transformation (AX).

Kim identified several economic uncertainties, including geopolitical risks, oil price fluctuations, economic polarization, and the widening AI gap. To strengthen competitiveness, the group highlighted recent achievements such as the acquisition of Japanese fragrance and cosmetics specialist Soda Aromatic and the expanded supply of high-value photoresist materials through Samyang NC Chem. The group has also implemented its own AI platform, ‘SAMI 2.0’, to modernize work processes.

In conjunction with the anniversary, Samyang Group conducted social contribution activities. Approximately 200 employees, including the chairman, participated in a bread-making volunteer event to donate 4,000 loaves to vulnerable populations in the Seoul metropolitan area. Additionally, the company collected over 550 blood donation certificates through a recent campaign to support patients in need.
