San Agustín indigenous community receives agricultural support in Tumaco

In Tumaco, agricultural supplies and tools were delivered to the San Agustín indigenous community as part of the fulfillment of Auto 620 and established precautionary measures. This second delivery provided 20 families with farming tools, 5,000 cacao seedlings, and 1,000 plantain suckers to strengthen local productive and economic activities.

In addition to the material support, a training strategy was implemented through collaboration between the Secretariat of Women, Equity and Gender and SENA. Community members completed specialized training in cacao grafting to improve plantation yields and expand product commercialization. These actions are part of a coordinated effort by the District Administration to advance commitments made to indigenous communities and enhance their productive capacities within their own territories.
