San Andrés Cholula residents protest 3B convenience store opening

Residents of San Andrés Cholula have organized a protest against the planned opening of a 3B convenience store. The group, known as Cholultecas Unidos en Resistencia, held a peaceful demonstration at the intersection of 4 Oriente and 2 Norte to demand that authorities withhold operating permits.

Protesters argue that the establishment will lead to an increase in the local cost of living and higher taxes for existing neighborhood businesses. The group marched to the Municipal Presidency to request that Mayor Guadalupe Cuautle Torres intervene, noting that while the store construction is complete, its official inauguration has not yet occurred.
