San Antonio authorities rescue four injured greyhounds and arrest owner

Authorities in San Antonio, Chile, rescued four greyhounds found in a state of severe neglect and physical deterioration. The operation was conducted by the Environmental Crimes and Cultural Heritage Investigation Brigade (Bidema) Valparaíso following a complaint.

Veterinary evaluations by the San Antonio Municipal Department of Public Health and Zoonosis confirmed the animals suffered from various untreated injuries and diseases. The dogs have been removed for medical stabilization and will be transferred to an animal protection organization once recovered. The owner has been arrested and faces charges for animal cruelty.
