San Antonio de Areco inaugurates new long-distance bus terminal

San Antonio de Areco has inaugurated a new long-distance bus terminal located at San Martín and ex Ruta 8. The facility is scheduled to begin operations this Thursday, offering services from 6:00 to 22:00, including a buffet and a tourism office.

The project follows a public-private partnership model. While the municipality promoted the initiative, the operation has been conceded to the local company Relájate Viajes SRL, led by Cristian Pannunzio. The city aims to expand connections to the coast, the north, and the south, working alongside companies such as Chevallier to incorporate new destinations.

This new terminal restores a service that the city had lacked since the closure of its previous private terminal in 2020 during the pandemic. Mayor Francisco Rattose noted that the space addresses a long-standing community demand for adequate facilities for travelers.
