San Antonio officials rescue 26 pugs from unsanitary home

Authorities in San Antonio rescued 26 pugs from an unsanitary residence on the 300 block of Clarence Street. The rescue was conducted by San Antonio Animal Care Services with assistance from the San Antonio Police Department's SAFFE unit and patrol officers.

Officials cited unsanitary habitation and neglect as the reasons for the removal, noting that the volume of animals and the condition of the property indicated a lack of proper care. Multiple charges have been filed against the owner. The rescued dogs are currently under the care of Animal Care Services for treatment and are not yet available for adoption.
