San Antonio Rural High School expands facilities in Salto

The new facilities of Rural High School No. 3 in San Antonio, Salto, have been officially inaugurated. The expansion was attended by President Yamandú Orsi and officials from the National Administration of Education.

The new construction includes 12 classrooms, two laboratories, administrative offices, bathrooms, and spaces for a kitchen and canteen. Part of the existing building, currently an annex for UTU, was also recycled for the project.

The institution serves 350 students from various localities, including Albisu, Tropezón, Parada Viña, Campo de todos, Garibaldi, Colonia El charrúa, Itapebí, Paso Fialo, and Laureles. By offering both basic and higher secondary education through to baccalaureate levels, the center aims to reduce student dropout rates and strengthen educational opportunities in the rural region.
