San Antonio Spurs lean on veteran De'Aaron Fox as Victor Wembanyama drives team in NBA Finals

The 22‑year‑old center praised the team's young core, noting that “the Knicks understand how fortunate they are to be in the Finals, and they know it’s not guaranteed they’ll ever get another chance like this.” He added that the Spurs’ own players are “spoiled kids” who are still learning the magnitude of their achievement.

Fox, acquired from the Sacramento Kings, is credited with providing the veteran leadership the Spurs needed. Wembanyama said, “It’s been great. I think it’s been saving us a lot of trouble over the course of the season.
