San Bartolo climate change conference to address ecosystem transformations
Professor Carlo Urbinati of the Università Politecnica delle Marche will lead a public meeting titled ‘Il cambiamento climatico sul San Bartolo: passato, presente e futuro’ on September 16 in Pesaro. The event focuses on how climate change has transformed the San Bartolo territory and what future scenarios may unfold.
The discussion aims to connect observed landscape changes with ongoing climate shifts to better understand the impact on ecosystems and the management of protected areas. This meeting serves as the conclusion of the bePrepARed project, a cross-border initiative funded by the Interreg Italy-Croatia program. The project seeks to improve regional adaptation to climate change through better natural resource management, specifically targeting water resources and the prevention of extreme phenomena such as droughts, floods, and fires.
