San Bartolomé delivers 90 natural gas mixer trucks to Unicon
San Bartolomé has delivered 90 new mixer trucks powered by natural gas (GNV) to the Unicon fleet in Peru. This delivery coincides with a national milestone, as Peru has reached 10,000 heavy vehicles operating on natural gas.
The initiative is part of Unicon’s fleet renewal process aimed at adopting lower-emission technologies. The ceremony included representatives from San Bartolomé, Unicon, Cálidda, and the Peruvian Ministry of the Environment. Ernesto Zapata, general manager of San Bartolomé, noted that the technology has overcome previous doubts regarding durability and performance, demonstrating efficiency comparable to or exceeding conventional diesel units.
