San Bartolomeo Wins 17th Cavalcata dell'Assunta Trophy in Fermo

The Contrada San Bartolomeo of Fermo secured its 17th title in the traditional Tiro al Canapo competition, the opening event of this year’s Cavalcata dell'Assunta. Ten contrade were split into two groups; San Bartolomeo topped Group B and defeated Pila in the semifinals before prevailing over Campiglione in the final. The matches were overseen by international referee Andrea Nasso, assisted by Andrea Mignani and Simone Belà.

During the award ceremony, Mayor Alberto Maria Scarfini praised the team’s dedication, noting the months of training that required participants to sacrifice personal time. The victory was celebrated by a full house at the Girfalco venue, with special applause for female shooter Alisa Cococcioni and the team’s coach, priest Gian Luca Iervicella.
