San Benedetto del Tronto announces family subsidies and housing settlement

In San Benedetto del Tronto, local authorities have announced economic support measures for families and newborns for 2026. Following regional law, approximately €71,425 has been allocated across 12 municipalities in the Ambito Territoriale Sociale 21. The funds are split between supporting birth rates (30%) and assisting families in economic difficulty with educational, sporting, or cultural expenses (70%). Eligible residents must meet specific ISEE requirements, and individual contributions are set at €300, which doubles for families with children recognized as having severe disabilities.

Separately, the municipality has reached a settlement to resolve a decade-long delay in a social housing project. The administration and the firm Costruzioni Mariano Cabras signed an early termination of the contract for the construction of 40 low-cost homes near via Boito, via Rossini, and via Donizetti. To avoid protracted legal battles involving significant contractual penalties and claims regarding rising material costs, the municipality will provide an indemnity of approximately €270,000 to the company.
