San Benedetto del Tronto holds Madonna della Marina festival

The municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto will host a three‑day celebration dedicated to the Madonna della Marina from July 24‑26. Mayor Nicola Mozzoni opened the event with a press conference, outlining a programme that mixes religious, cultural, sporting and entertainment activities.

Key events include a traditional sea procession on July 25 departing from the Malfizia pier, followed by a religious ceremony on the port quay. The evening concert at the former racetrack will feature Roman singer‑songwriter Mara Sattei, and comedian Gabriele “Dado” Pellegrini will perform later. On July 26 a city‑wide procession and a Mass at the Cathedral’s square are scheduled, after which the ex‑racetrack will host further performances. The programme also includes a sailing regatta with 16 neighbourhood committees, a trophy awarded by the mayor, and a special appearance of the fishing vessel Marcantonio II to host civil, military and religious officials during the sea procession.
