San Bernardino County approves Legacy Village housing project

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has unanimously adopted a resolution supporting the San Bernardino Community College District’s Legacy Village housing project. As part of this decision, the board conditionally committed $28 million from the Foster Youth Campus Reserve to assist with development.

Led by the college district, the project will feature 88 affordable housing units built by Jamboree Housing Corporation, 180 workforce housing units, and 461 student housing beds developed by The Annex Group, LLC. The site is also expected to serve transitional-age former foster youth.

In addition to residential units, the development will include approximately 9,100 square feet for food services and flexible use, along with 9,280 square feet dedicated to conferences and community meetings. The project aims to connect residents with educational opportunities, workforce development, childcare, and health services to promote economic mobility and housing stability.
