2026 Summer festivals light up towns across Spain and Latin America
A series of summer festivals are set to take place in July and August 2026 across Spain, Mexico, Ecuador and other regions. In Spain, the XXXIV Festival de Arte Flamenco in Fondón (Almería) will feature José Mercé and guitarist Tomatito, while Guadalcázar hosts its 40th free‑entry flamenco festival. The Cante de las Minas in La Unión runs from 29 July to 8 August with performances by Arcángel, Israel Fernández and others. Cádiz will hold its XXXI International Folklore Festival with groups from Mexico, Panama, South Africa, Georgia and Rapa Nui. Municipal fairs include the Feria Patronal in Coronango (Mexico) and the patronal celebrations in Aspe (Spain) and Puebla de Lillo (Spain). In Ecuador, Quevedo’s San Camilo parish concludes its San Cristóbal festivities with processions and a vehicle‑blessing tradition. Puerto del Carmen (Spain) launches a weekend of music, sport and cultural events for the Virgen del Carmen. South‑Korean Pueblo Nuevo revives a two‑day verbena after 27 years, and Denmark’s Aspe marks its patronal feast with a bike march and concerts. These events combine religious processions, music, dance, gastronomy and community activities, highlighting local heritage and summer tourism.
