San Carlos school removes preceptor following student harassment allegations
A secondary school in La Consulta, San Carlos, has preemptively removed a preceptor from his position following allegations of harassment involving a 16-year-old student. The student reported that the educator had been contacting her via social media.
After the student informed a teacher, school authorities activated internal protocols and requested that the student's guardians file a formal police report. When no report was filed within 48 hours, school officials filed an official complaint at the La Consulta police station.
The Tunuyán Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the case. Evidence cited in the investigation includes the student's testimony and screenshots of messages allegedly sent by the preceptor. Local discussions have also raised questions regarding the circumstances of the preceptor's original appointment.
