San Cayetano community celebrates 70 years and new relic
The San Cayetano community in the La Floresta neighborhood of Formosa is celebrating 70 years of history and the arrival of a religious relic. The milestone highlights the community's origins in the 1940s and 1950s, when residents faced significant distances to reach the central Cathedral.
To establish the chapel, local pioneers engaged in significant community self-management, including the creation of a local brickyard to reduce costs. The history of the site is marked by the donation of land by the Cohen family and the initial construction using materials brought by Father Felipe Pifer.
