San Cristóbal Traumatological Hospital construction reaches 80% completion

Jean Luis Rodríguez, the Minister of Housing and Buildings (MIVED), has inspected the construction of the San Cristóbal Traumatological Hospital in the Dominican Republic. The project is currently more than 80% complete and represents an investment of RD$3,225 million.

The new facility covers 14,172.82 square meters and will add 62 beds to the national hospital system. It is designed to alleviate congestion at the Juan Pablo Pina Hospital and provide immediate care for accidents occurring on the 6 de Noviembre highway.

Key features of the hospital include 23 outpatient consultation rooms, emergency services, a surgical unit, a laboratory, and a pharmacy. Specialized areas will also include an adult intensive care unit with eight spaces, a neonatal unit with seven spaces, a seven-box burn unit, and services for tuberculosis patients.
