San Diego Comic-Con 2026 features DreamWorks' 'Forgotten Island' screening and Isla Monstro booth

DreamWorks Animation will hold an advance screening of its upcoming animated adventure "Forgotten Island" at AMC Mission Valley in San Diego on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 5 p.m. The free, all‑ages event requires early arrival as admission is not guaranteed once the theater reaches capacity. The film, directed by Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado, follows two lifelong friends and features a voice cast that includes Liza Soberano, Dave Franco, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, Ronny Chieng and Lea Salonga.

Abyssmal Entertainment and The Nacelle Company will showcase the adult‑animated sci‑fi comedy "Isla Monstro" at the same convention. The Netflix‑style title, which premiered on streaming services on June 30, 2026, is highlighted at the Isla Monstro Tiki Bar Booth, offering limited‑edition Blu‑ray, DVD, VHS, a comic‑book #1, soundtracks and merchandise. The booth will host a panel on Saturday, July 25, at 7:45 p.m., with director Steven Shea, composer Robert Reider, lead illustrator Logan Van Der Wolf and voice actors including John DiMaggio and Juliana Harkavy.
