San Diego County midterm election voter information

San Diego County officials have begun mailing ballots to registered voters for the upcoming midterm elections. In California, ballots must be postmarked by November 3 to be counted, and voters may use official drop boxes, vote centers, or mail.

UC San Diego is partnering with the San Diego County Registrar of Voters to host four on-campus vote centers. These locations—Pepper Canyon West, Price Center, Eleanor Roosevelt College, and The Exchange—will be open from October 31 through November 3. Individuals who missed the October 19 registration deadline can utilize same-day voter registration at any on-campus vote center on November 3.

In the gubernatorial race, candidates include Democrat Xavier Becerra, a former U.S. Representative and California Attorney General, and Republican Steve Hilton, a former advisor to the U.K. Prime Minister and Fox News host. Becerra is focusing on healthcare access and affordable housing, while Hilton is campaigning on reducing gas and utility prices.
