San Diego Padres owners visit U-18 Baseball Pan American Championship

José E. Feliciano and his wife, singer-songwriter Kwanza Jones, attended the U-18 Baseball Pan American Championship at the IPL Academy Complex in the Dominican Republic. The couple, who are the new owners of the San Diego Padres, observed matches including Dominican Republic vs. Curaçao and Puerto Rico vs. Panama.

Feliciano, who is of Puerto Rican descent, performed the ceremonial first pitch for the Dominican Republic vs. Curaçao game. During his visit, he praised the talent within the region and the hospitality of the Dominican Republic, noting the historical baseball rivalry between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. He also met with players to encourage their progress toward the U-18 World Cup and expressed gratitude to Dominican fans for their support of the San Diego Padres.
